Surviving - a basic vision
Introduction
The name of this blog is Surviving. Surviving comes from many hours of conversation, reading reliable sources of news that I have had. We as writers will articulate the ideas and values we hold dear. The equally essential "makers" will approve and/or amend this blog as they hold similar ideas and values.
Part 1
We, the writers/makers all believe that The Bible is the best book ever written.
We believe in the Holy Trinity.
We believe strongly and live life based on the Nicene Creed (a/k/a Profession of Faith)
Some predict the Apocalypse.
Most of us want to live. Most of us are afraid of Hell and aspire to Heaven.
We have had a dim view of those who predict when the Apocalypse will occur. Other than the writer, John of Patmos, 99.9% of the people who have gotten up and said:
"We are nearing the End of Time!!!" ...................are/were wrong!
Really! What person other than the author of Revelation, John of Patmos, has been right about predicting what will occur JUST before the Apocalypse will come?
Jesus stated that while he chooses who will go to Heaven and who goes to Hell, he further stated that only God the Father when the Apocalypse will occur.
Those in the 99.9% are conceited, because of 1 essential fact.
Any human could possibly die tomorrow.
Those in the best of health;
those who live in the richest of homes
those who spoke bold and "knew better" sometimes died the next day.
This blog states that rather than thinking about Apocalypse, it is better to think about your death and how you will love and serve both God and others. That fact alone should be the reason why humanity needs to walk the path toward Heaven.
We are rightfully alarmed that fewer people go to Church, take time to pray regularly and live greedy lives. That's why the wealth distribution is so distorted and flawed in our nation.
Your tomorrow is not guaranteed. I heard those words with a woman I loved for 32 years, and I heard them from a Priest in the Chicago area who was a former journalist.
This blog does not start from the idea, "people who I agree with in my community are the best people on Earth and their worldview is the worldview ALL SHOULD HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Their "common sense" is subjective, unlikely to be agreed by people who lived poorer than them, are of a different race or genetically made up to be homosexual. Yes, we know homosexuals who are practicing Christians. Does Dick Cheney's daughter come to mind?????????????
Surviving put emphasis on what is OBJECTIVE. That which is verifiable, measurable and using the scientific method. The ruin and negatives of our nation comes from those who take only a few facts, then fool or try to put down others into thinking their beliefs are "common sense."
This Christian blog starts from humility by rejecting the "holier than thou, we are better patriots than YOU" approach by the loudest voices of the RIGHT. The makers.writers of Survivor are not telling everyone how they are patriots and no one besides patriots believe "the swamp must be drained in Washington D.C". We, the writers know that government must change and improve. We assert that those who participated (and did not apologize) and/or approve of what happened January 6, 2021 are delusional.
The authors believe that applied science built a car, allows you to drive a car, read a newpaper, use your computer and thousands of other actions you are enabled to do
This Christian blog states that global warming exists because scientists have empirically proven through facts, data and observation that our Earth is gradually getting warmer. Thermometers don't lie, we live in a hotter planet. Hurricanes can be measured and shown to happen more than they happened 75 years ago.
This Blog, Surviving, asserts that those who deny global warming are stupid, because they neither listen nor understand what is occurring at the polar regions of this Earth.
The writers/makers of Surviving have observed and read from history some really odious, evil that has occurred in the last 78 years!
Surviving - rejects those who think that the election of 2020 was a scam. An example is that Republican vote counters in the contested states rose above their Republican point of view and counted the votes with a sense of duty. Georgia counted votes once for the election, and then 2 more recounts, The Secretary of State and the peopleworking in the vote-counting department in states like Wisconsin and Arizona were rightfully insulted at the half-truth, illusion based on events imagined or exaggerated.
And behold! They proclaim:
"MY MIND IS MADE UP, DON'T CONFUSE ME WITH THE FACTS!!!"
People (that's you, me, people that we know!) grew up reading and respecting Reuters, TIME magazine, Associated Press. They used those sources as very good citizens. Yet, sometime before or after 2000, those respected sources were rejected. Some are very respectable; all need to be loved. For the people I talk about here, Part 2, There are some so narrow-minded they still think Trump is the best president of our time.
How is it that some of those people indignantly bleated like lost sheep that, "half of the people are on welfare!" I heard that tripe time and time again from a number of people, and that indignation is sickening.
Yet, they'll still vote for the party of the Elephant despite hearing and being encouraged by the "Red Wave" only to see that not materialize. They still vote for a GOP that made a pathetic attempt to choose a Speaker.
While I criticize the Republican party, my beliefs in
Part 2
Suviving - observes that the Democratic party does not hold monopoly over sound political policies. We reject abortion except in cases of rape, incest and ............I don't know everything about the matter of abortion and reserve the right to say there's other instances where the best choice is abortion, With the exceptions in mind, I hate the idea of abortion on demand. Pat has told me instances where she knows women who have had abortions, I knew women before that committing this tragic, sinful act. I didn't agree with their choice.. There's still more to learn. Surviving agrees with the basic premise of theSupreme Court's Dobbs decision put forth this summer
